The dark side of the software industry has better support for hardware, really sad, so I finally bought one of those little gadgets that allows you to phone, visit webpages, and so on. And now I am carrying a windows in my pocket the whole day, and it hurts ( it may well be the Wifi raditation tough ). But I bought it with the hope that someday I’ll be able to throw WM2005 away and put some sort of free kernel inside it… but meanwhile I want to use it… So this is the list of applications and little tweaks I have found useful, I haven’t had the K-Jam for a long time so I guess this list will grow, and as usual suggestions are very apreciated!.

• Configure the GPRS for the service provider. From Pof or do it with a self made CAB from xda-developers forum.
• Modify the register, either with a .CAB or manually, to have the 802.11g working, by default it only works in b mode. From xda-developers forum.
• Magic Button a free task switcher.
• Pocket Putty, an ssh client for pocket pc, have no idea of the License it uses but the code is said to be released soon.
• GSFinder+, a GPL filesystem explorer, a very good alternative to resco.
• TCPMP, The Core Pocket Media Player, incredible movie player. GPL license.
• SJphone, propietary software to make SIP phone calls.
• PocketSNES, a SNES emulator for the pocket pc.
• Kilmist registry editor a non free registry editor, resco can be used as alternative to this.
• Omap Overclock (v2) let’s overclock K-Jam, works wonderfully for Skype, SJphone, IAXppc … from xda-developers forum
